Aspen Moon Farm is hiring for the 2022 season! Come work with a great crew on a diversified Organic vegetable farm that produces high-quality produce for two farmers markets, a large CSA, and a farm stand. We are hiring Field Managers, Managers/Crew Leads (CSA/Farmers Market, Packhouse, Field), and Farm Crew (CSA/Farmers Market, Packhouse, Field). Please visit for full job descriptions. Duties include some or most of the following, depending on position and schedule: • Harvesting • Rinse, Bunch, Pack Vegetables • Pack CSA boxes • CSA distribution from Farm, Boulder, or Longmont • Farmers Markets- Longmont or Boulder Saturdays • Prepare and pack Trucks for Market • Clean, Mill, Pack Grains • Clean and organize post-harvest handling facilities • Planting and seeding • Cultivation, weeding, general field work. • Implement Field Plan - 10-15 acres planted • Tractor operator-field prep, cultivation, planting, seeding • Manage Field Crew and Irrigation manager • Organic Pest Management • Livestock work- moving fencing, moving livestock etc. • Record Keeping, planning, preparing • Please note that we cannot accommodate tobacco users on our staff, due to diseases that can be shared between tobacco and certain crops. You are invited to live and breathe the FARM for a full season! Work schedules: (varies some with weather and with daily farm needs) *longer days and/or additional Mondays/Saturdays available for those who want and can, but not required. Field Manager: Monday-Friday Early/Late Season - 7:00am - 5:30pm, 1hr lunch unpaid. Peak Season- 6:00am - 5:00pm, 1hr lunch unpaid. Crew Leads and Crew: Monday-Friday, mostly 8-9hr days, 40-45/hrs week.. Tuesday-Saturday, mostly 8-9hr days, 40-45/hrs week.. (May be M-F from Mar-July based on farm needs) Early Shift*- ~6:00am - ~4:00pm, 1hr lunch unpaid. *required for Saturday Mkts. (~8am-5pm spring/fall) Late Shift - ~8:30am - ~5:30pm, 1 hr lunch unpaid. (May vary spring/fall) Season runs March/April-November/December with year-round possibilities Compensation: Crew Member- $14-$15/hr plus staff veggies. Crew Leader- $15-$17/hr plus staff veggies. Experience required. Managers- $16-$20/hr plus staff veggies. 5 years’ experience required. Some on-farm and off-farm housing available for rent. Work Experience/Skills Desired: Experience in related field preferred (farming, outdoor work, military, grocery, restaurant, etc...), strong interest in organic vegetables, ability to pace oneself and stay motivated, good communication and respect for others, and flexibility for changing tasks. Must have the ability to work long hours in all kinds of weather and to be able to lift 50lb+. Must be able to commit to the full season thru November. Bilingual a plus.
