When did this term become royalty? When did we decide Nancy and Mitch deserve a tax paid security patrol and not Nick the trash man that has the same title? I would have to question the folks that recite the constittution as bible that it says anywhere that we have to provide security for ex presidents. Indoctrinated in 1965 and not that far away of the Nixon era. Who didn't get richer as a public servant after that and why should we have to pay what they can easily afford to themselves? Tony the trash man is a public servant and isn't afforded any protections but is a much more reliable, efficient less costly and more essential public servant than those we hire to represent us in the political arena.
