Description
We are rehoming our 1 y/o male Great Dane, Bentley. He is AKC registered, and we have his pedigree / papers to transfer, but he is *neutered*.
Bentley’s father is an AKC show champion (not “champion lines”; his sire is literally a Ch. titled show dog). Both of his parents are FULLY health tested, with appropriate CHIC numbers (hips, heart, eyes). This means that Bentley is an extremely high quality, robust, well-bred dog who will hopefully stay healthy into his teenaged years. 🙏🏻
He is 100% house trained and crate trained. He is not destructive inside the house and does not chew or tear up your belongings. He had an accident earlier this year where his tail was injured, so his tail has been docked, but that does not affect his health or quality of life. He is good with cats, and he absolutely adores children.
Bentley IS a young, boisterous, very large dog (over 100lbs), so he can knock over a small child, but he is never malicious or dangerous. He respects fences, and he’s loving and playful and fun. He does not know how big he is and wants to be a lap dog! Velcro dog DELUXE! He does need some work on a leash.
Bentley’s one main issue is that he does not do well with dogs that are smaller than him. He LOVES other Danes and plays very well with them. He does not care for dogs that are not his same size. He needs to go to a home with either no other dogs, or other Danes *only*. Strongly prefer a home with prior Dane experience.
Bentley is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. There is an appropriate rehoming fee required; negotiable to the right family with Dane experience.
