Currently seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician for our family-owned portfolio of multi-family and commercial rental properties in the greater Madison, WI area. Responsibilities: • Responsible for the day-to-day building maintenance issues that arise from resident and business tenants’ calls for service. • Communicate with residential and commercial tenants regarding maintenance requests, schedule repairs with Maintenance Supervisor, and confirm with tenants the satisfactory completion of maintenance requests. • Inventorying each properties’ mechanical systems and identifying, preventing, and reducing deferred maintenance. • Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Additional reporting to Property Managers and Company Management. Requirements: This is a full-time position requiring regular Monday through Friday attendance with limited on-call after business hours. • Valid driver’s license. • Reliable transportation. • High School Diploma/GED equivalent. • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted. • Experience in operating a variety of equipment including power saws, drills, and tools. • Effective written and oral skills. • A minimum one-two years of property maintenance experience is preferred. • Hands-on experience with customer service, rough and finish carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, equipment maintenance/operation and facility repairs is a plus. Schedule • Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. • On Call Rotation with 1.5 time for off hours worked over forty hours per week. This position includes an excellent benefits package including paid medical and dental insurance, mileage reimbursement and paid holiday, vacation, personal / sick days. Salary $22/hr. - $28/hr. commensurate with experience.
