A well-established Northbrook House of Worship We take pride in our facility and we are looking for a candidate who will do the same! We are seeking a Janitor to help provide custodial services for our property. This is a full-time position at a pay rate of $16.00 an hour. 3pm – 10pm – Monday to Friday. Immediate start. Weekend work available for OT on occasion. QUALIFICATIONS -Maintain clean hallways, classrooms, social halls & restrooms - Basic knowledge of waxing & stripping of floors - Ability to operate all forms of light and heavy maintenance equipment. - Must be able to prioritize and follow/carry out a variety of assignments. - Able to work and complete assignments with minimal supervision. - Previous experience in buildings preferred - Positive attitude and team player but works well independently DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist in the maintenance and in establishing a safe and clean environment for congregants. - Snow removal on sidewalks and walking paths. - Following routine janitorial maintenance & performing general janitorial duties. - Collecting garbage. - Maintaining a pleasing appearance for the property, inside and out. - Performing other property-related tasks and maintenance, as needed.
