TUCSON, AZ — A man died after he was shot at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base on Saturday afternoon, Tucson police said. The Tucson Police Department assisted at the scene. A spokesperson for the department said that two people were injured and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The man involved was reported to have been shot while a woman had injuries that did not come from a gun. The injuries for both were self-inflicted, according to officials. The man eventually succumbed to his injuries. The woman's status is currently unknown. According to a statement obtained by KGUN, a spokesperson for Davis-Monthan said this was an isolated incident "and does not pose an ongoing threat." No other information was immediately available, including the names of the man and woman involved. An investigation is still taking place.
