Description
Don’t grow much 3two3 3seven7 81*57 S K I P S K I P S K I P Coral is a Velcro dog. She has a favorite member of the family who she follows around. When that member of the family is not at home she either will hang out with another member of the family or wait by the door for her favorite. She likes to snuggle next to her people and she loves to have her belly rubbed. She is usually content to sit next to a human, napping, but she does like to jump up on her favorite person and lick their face. When she first came to the house she was hesitant about the outside – she didn’t seem to like grass or even smell much. Now, however, she enjoys walking in the grass or lying in it. She has started to sniff things around the backyard and investigate the yard independently, but overall, she still seems to hold back. She is still getting used to the outside. She was fairly calm and delighted to be around humans then and she still is. She is affectionate with kisses and licks and has been since she came into our house. We get up at 7 am (later on the weekends) and let her out of her crate. She jumps around for a while with happiness. Then we take her out to the backyard and she pees. She comes inside and has her breakfast and then we take her back outside for a poop. She then spends the rest of the day with the adults in the household, either sitting next to them on the couch or lying under their desk. We take her outside periodically throughout the day, and because she is still housetraining, sometimes we spend several hours in the backyard. She eats dinner around 5 and then we take her outside to poop again. In the evening she spends time with the family. We put her to bed (her crate) around 10:30 or 11:00. We don’t have a regular walk schedule with her. Coral is good at coming when called. Since she is very quiet, you don’t always notice that she is right behind you, so you do need to be aware – because of her size, it could be easy to step on her. Coral is a very sweet dog. She is small and light and easy to pick up. Sometimes she seems more like a baby or a doll! Coral is learning how to walk on leash. She still gets startled by noises and new situations but is always interested in sniffing a new dog. With her pocket-size, she doesn't require much exercise. She would be happy to be your work-from-home buddy or ride along in your purse as you run errands. She won't take up much room! Coral is only an option for homes that have owned a dog in the last 5 years. If there are children in the home, they should be over the age of 8 and quiet/gentle.
