General Construction Company looking to hire skilled Full-Time Carpenters for many ongoing projects within all Five Boroughs of NYC. Responsibilities: Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials. Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment. Ensure that safety protocols are followed. General carpentry installations and maintenance Group homes, Commercial, Hospitals, Medical, Schools Requirements: Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination. Experience with construction. Good interpersonal skills. Must have knowledge of current NYC building codes. Must be able to work as part of a team of 4-8 carpenters. Must have 5+ years of carpentry/carpentry helper in commercial projects. Must effectively communicate with others and maintain focus in a busy environment. Must be able to work neatly and keep job sites organized. Must be willing to learn. Must be fluent in English. Must have own basic carpentry tools. The ability to read blueprints is a must. OSHA 40 is required. Experience working on hospitals or medical facility projects is a plus. A valid driver's license and own vehicle/truck is a plus.
