Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and World Wide Wave on World Environment Day for a global cleanup on June 5th at 9 am! In coordination with 2041 ClimateForce and 10dysea, we’re gathering people at South Gandy Beach for a morning of camaraderie, conservation/restoration, and fun. Join multiple countries in this World Wide Wave to restore the planet one locality at a time. Which Countries are Involved? Far North Queensland, AustraliaSouth Essex Coast, England, United KingdomSingaporeIndiaCanadaUnited States: San Diego, Santa Cruz, Tuscan, Chicago & St. Petersburg*** WHERE TO MEET: Gandy Beach South. When heading east on Gandy Blvd., make a right-hand turn into the mini beach areas before getting on the bridge to Tampa. Look for the direction signs! WHEN: Sunday, June 5th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear closed toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend a hat or sunglasses too. WHAT TO EXPECT: All cleanup supplies are provided including reusable gloves, trash bags, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and bug spray.
