Description

Section 509.096, Florida statutes, includes mandatory annual human trafficking awareness training for lodging employees who perform housekeeping duties or work at the front desk or reception areas within 60 days of hire. Prudent lodging operators will also train their other guest interaction positions, including concierge, bell staff, valet, and others. To remain compliant organizations must have these employees a DBPR-approved training course within 60 days of hire, and annually after that. Training typical costs $3-$99 per employee which is why the Human Trafficking Task Force Circuit 14 is hosting a training event that will satisfy this requirement for current employees. Remember ALL employees must be trained that work in reception areas and housekeeping. Organizations found in violation of this statue will receive and administrative fine of $2,000 per day that the lodging establishment remains noncompliant. Reserve your seating today. Space is limited. Wednesday, June 15, 2022Registration opens at 5:30pmTraining 6:00pm - 8:00pmPlease bring a photo ID
