Do you find yourself quoting The Breakfast Club all the time? Does Kat's poem from 10 Things I Hate About You make your heart melt? Did you always want to literally blow the roof off of the house with a House Party?
If all this sounds familiar, come learn the ins and outs of doing an Improvised Teen Movie from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 at a Highwire Improv jamshop. Brian Shea will lead this free event at the Roland Park Community Center.
A jam shop is part workshop, part jam. The first hour will include a short explainer of the format as well as exercises targeting specific skills for the format. During the second hour, we will perform two short improvised teen movies!
Space is limited. Participants should have basic improv knowledge, but newer performers are encouraged to attend. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
All participants are required to follow the Highwire Improv Code of Conduct and arrive on-time to make sure that we can align on how we'll hold space for one another.
The jamshop is free, but registration is required so that we know how many people are planning to attend and can ensure we stay within the room capacity.
As detailed previously, in-person events at Highwire Improv are only recommended for those individuals who have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Parking is available for free onsite. The Roland Park Community Center is an accessible space - for any detailed questions, please reach out to [email protected]
