Description

Join Atlee of Treasure Movement in a fun exploration of yoga. Classes are geared toward those who want to explore their yoga practice and build on strength and mobility. Atlee’s teaching is designed to give you the tools and foundation to dig deeper into the mind and body’s potential. We will explore basic foundational poses each week, and focus on tuning and connecting with the breath. Movements will open up those difficult, hard-to-reach muscles that may limit flexibility, all while focusing on the breath and building peace from within. Drop-ins are welcome if the event is sold out. Check-in begins at 5:45pm. Please arrive promptly to secure your spot. The class will be held outdoors. Waivers are required. Dress comfortably for the weather, bring a yoga mat, and a water bottle. Inclement weather note: Staff regularly monitor waterfront conditions in coordination with instructors and will update social media channels as well as notify any registrants via Eventbrite prior to event times whenever possible. The May 18 session has been canceled due to a wind advisory. Thank you for your time and consideration. Meet the instructor: Atlee Treasure Atlee has been practicing yoga avidly for over 10 years. First introduced to yoga in 1997, he went on to receive his teacher training through 8 Limbs Yoga. Yoga and regular strength training have been tools to a healthier life for him. He believes that a strong body helps build a strong mind. If you want to develop a better understanding of movement and the mind through yoga, or simply build a stronger more mindful foundation, come learn and play. His passion for fitness, health and mindfulness drive him and his desire to help others find the same for themselves. See other upcoming events by Friends of Waterfront Seattle.
