Please join us for part two of our anti-racism series. The racial reckoning of 2020 caused organizations of all kinds to examine (and re-examine) their diversity, equity, and inclusion practices. One of the key questions that have emerged over the last two years is: Are we as committed to anti-racist practice in our fundraising and development efforts as we are in our communications? Nonprofits are now called to deeply interrogate their fundraising practices to ensure that they better engage the communities they serve, de-center wealth as a primary motivator, and move from a competitive to a collaborative framework. New Urban Arts has been on a journey toward a more equitable fundraising practice that began prior to the pandemic by looking at how DEI was woven into its various organizational systems. Through the lens of community-centric fundraising, it is now looking at how it can extend that focus through its development programs. This session will provide attendees with some tools to begin or expand the conversation of anti-racist fundraising at your organizations. Networking, nibbles, and cash bar to follow @ ISCO
