Another concert and live recording session for The Life of a Musician will be held here in Danville's Old West End on Sunday evening, June 12, at Crema & Vine. This concert features Kristy Cox, Australia's Queen of Bluegrass, and her band. The first of two sets will be recorded for broadcast in the fall. The second set will be less formal with plenty of audience interaction. Doors open for included food and beverage at 7:15 with recording beginning at 8:00. From an early age, Kristy Cox captured attention with her distinct singing style and positive outlook, going on to open shows for major acts and appearing on television and major festivals across Australia, Europe, and the USA. She has been awarded five “Bluegrass Recording of the Years” in Australia’s CMA Awards (called Golden Guitar Awards there). She released her third album, “Shades of Blue,” in February 2022. Series host Brandon Lee Adams is also an award-winning artist including the International Bluegrass Music Award for Album of the Year.
