Press release from University of Wisconsin - Green Bay: May 23, 2022 Nearby, The Sisters of Saint Francis of the Holy Cross, on Nicolet Drive, hosted a land acknowledgement ceremony on May 14, 2022 to recognize the history and contributions of Indigenous peoples. The ceremony included dedication of a large bronze plaque mounted to a granite boulder at the entrance to the convent (located at 3110 Nicolet Drive) with an inscription that acknowledges "all the First Nations people who are the original inhabitants of this region."
