Description

What is the change you want for our communities? What issues of equity are important to you? Whatever it is, there is someone in our 27 cities and towns working on it, through advocacy, education, service, organizing, or resources. The community health assessments provide data about the top health equity needs in our region. The Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) lays out goals, strategies, and a framework that lead to better outcomes. Our community assets - our institutions, organizations, and caring individuals, are the change-makers who turn those strategies into reality. In small groups, we will spend this meeting mapping our community assets for each of the goals of the CHIP. We already have the resources and capacity to create a healthier, happier, more prosperous and equitable region. Community asset mapping is an exercise in using all our collective networks to connect people, programs, and institutions for greater impact. With a region as big as North Central Mass, there are always more connections to be made! Please join us for an active and interactive afternoon of connecting and celebrating our power as a coalition of change-makers! If you have cards, flyers, or other program materials, please feel free to bring them in a folder - we will provide bags for all guests to collect information, but ask that loose materials not be left on tables. There will be food! Advance registration is not required but will help us to plan. While an outdoor event mitigates risk, we do encourage those who are not fully vaccinated or who are especially vulnerable to care for themselves and one another by wearing masks. We hope to see you there!
