WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 15-year-old boy is charged with two counts of first degree murder in connection with a double homicide at a Woodbridge apartment earlier this month. The boy, who police did not publicly identify by name, is being held at the Prince William County Juvenile Detention Center. Two men, Malik Xavier Lamar Davis and Christian Jamar Roberts, died of gunshot wounds they suffered at the Woodbridge Station apartments on May 15. The victims were 23 years old. Police said that Davis, Roberts, the 15-year-old suspect, and other acquaintances gathered in the apartment on May 15. Authorities did not specify what events could have led to the shooting. A resident told police that there was a bullet hole in his ceiling; the shot appeared to have come from his upstairs neighbor, police said. Officers also found a bullet fragment on the man's floor. Officers went to the upstairs apartment to conduct a welfare check. When there was no response, the officers had the apartment's maintenance team open the door, according to the police report. When they entered the apartment, officers found two unresponsive men suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities said. The officers also said there was "additional signs of a shooting."Rescue personnel responded to the scene and confirmed that the two men were deceased. In an initial report, the police department said there were no signs of forced entry at the apartment, and there was no additional property damage or injuries. On May 19, the police department charged the 15-year-old boy from Woodbridge. He has not been publicly identified due to Virginia laws that protect the identities of minors. The boy is charged with two counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted murder, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling, and one count of possession of a firearm by a person under 18.
