Rabies Vaccination Clinic Thursday In Howard County Starting At Noon

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The next rabies vaccination clinic for Howard County pet owners will be Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m., weather permitting. The Howard County Health Department, in cooperation with the county animal control and adoption center, sponsors monthly $50 vaccination clinics to protect cats, dogs and ferrets from the rabies virus. The clinic will be conducted at the Davis Road Animal Control & Adoption Center at 8576 Davis Road in Columbia. Pets must be at least four months old to receive a vaccination. Animals may be vaccinated with a 1- or 3-year vaccine based on prior vaccination history. Be sure to bring a copy of a pet's previous vaccine history from a veterinarian. A county license for pets can be bought at the vaccination clinic for $6 for an altered pet and $24 for an unaltered pet. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.
