Westport P&Z Seeks Public Input On 5-Year Affordable Housing Plan

WESTPORT, CT — It just takes one look at current real estate listings for Westport to see that the town does not have much to offer that could be considered affordable. However, town officials hope to slowly change that, beginning with a request from the Planning and Zoning Commission for public input in creating the Westport's first five-year Affordable Housing Plan. A draft of the plan can be viewed here. The plan is being formulated in accordance with Connecticut statutes, and residents can offer their opinions on the issue via an online Community Survey that will be available until June 23. "As community input is critically important to ensuring that the Plan works for Westport and represents our Town's values, we're conducting a Community Survey and your input would be greatly appreciated," officials wrote in a statement.
