NORWICH, CT — A victim suffered "significant facial trauma" after being hit in the face with a beer bottle in the ArtSpace Norwich apartments parking early Monday morning, according to The New London Day. Backus Hospital notified police at 5:07 a.m. regarding a patient suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Police investigated and believe that several people were drinking in the parking lot at 35 Chestnut St. when a disturbance occurred. The victim, who was among those drinking, was struck in the face with a beer bottle and suffered a laceration, The New London Day reported. The incident is under investigation.
