17 June, 2022

Description

This 2-day series of talks is the central event of the Typographics Festival, focused on the use of type across all design disciplines. Now in its 8th year, the Conference returns in-person (following Covid safety measures) in the Great Hall at Cooper Union in Manhattan. For details about the Conference and other Festival events, visit 2022.typographics.com. The website will be updated in the coming weeks as events details are finalized. Join our mailing list for updates as they’re announced. ‘In-person’ tickets entitle one attendee entrance to the Conference talks, TypeLab, conference goody bag, and a 10% discount for Type@Cooper workshops scheduled from June 13–23. We plan to create a moderated Discord channel and invite all ticket holders to optionally connect and engage virtually with fellow attendees who are in-person or watching the livestream. All attendees must abide by the Code of Conduct and Policies for the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Typographics Conference talks will be livestreamed and recorded as always allowing access to anyone with an internet connection. This year, 'virutual access' tickets make it possible for those who want to tune into the livestream to also join the moderated Discord channel. These tickets only give the holders access to Discord. Adherence to the Festival's Code of Conduct in Discord is expected of all attendees so that everyone feels welcome and safe in the space. By purchasing tickets you are granting your permission to potentially be photographed and/or filmed as we document the event for social media and future promotions. As of February 2022, Cooper Union requires all attendees to show proof of complete Covid-19 vaccination and booster, and wear a CDC-recommended mask (disposable surgical, KN95, KF94, or N95) while indoors. Cloth masks alone are not permitted, but may be worn as a second layer over a disposable surgical mask. Updates to this policy will be shared as they develop.
