Hello, New Orleans! I'm here in your inbox this morning to tell you everything you need to know about what's going on in town. Let's do this. First, today's weather: Showers, heavy t-storms. High: 86 Low: 72. Here are the top three stories in New Orleans today: Construction and improvement projects have resumed on Gentilly Boulevard are expected to last for the next two weeks. During that time cars will not be allowed to park along the street. The projects are a part of Mayor Cantrell's initiative to bring 75 miles of connected bike lanes across New Orleans. (WGNO New Orleans) A fatal Tuesday morning crash in Terrytown left one victim dead. A 37-year-old Marrero man was killed after he was ejected from his car due to not wearing a seatbelt. The crash happened around 4 a.m. and the man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. (NOLA.com) An unusual storm, what the National Weather Service classified as a 'gustnado' formed over Kenner on Monday night. Not quite a tornado, the gusts of wind from a thunderstorm formed a funnel in the sky and gave minor damage to a few porches and homes in Kenner.
