TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama sophomore guard Jaden Shackelford knocked down 26 points in a 85-69 win for the Crimson Tide last Tuesday against Eastern Tennessee State University, which was a good enough performance to earn the California native a nod for SEC Player of the Week for Week 5. The performance was a memorable one worthy of accolades, but the points scored fell just short of Shackelford's career high of 28 points against Arkansas and Auburn last year. The Crimson Tide (6-3) and Shackelford will take on the Ole Miss Rebels (5-1) at Coleman Coliseum Tuesday night. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network at 8 p.m. Follow Patch here for updates or on Facebook and Twitter.
