Join us for the film premiere of "Aidlin Darling Design Architecture for the Senses," directed by Braden King. Braden King is a New York-based filmmaker, photographer and visual artist. His most recent feature film, The Evening Hour, premiered in competition at the 2020 Sundance and Rotterdam Film Festivals. It continued an international festival run throughout 2020 and was released theatrically by Strand in 2021. Additional work includes Here, Dutch Harbor: Where The Sea Breaks Its Back (co-directed with photographer Laura Moya), the short films Home Movie and National Disintegrations, and music videos for Cat Power, Glen Hansard, Yo La Tengo, Sparklehorse, Sonic Youth, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Laurie Anderson, and Dirty Three. King’s work has been exhibited at major international film festivals and institutions including Sundance, Rotterdam, Berlin, London, Torino, Singapore and Ann Arbor; MoMA, The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Mass MoCA, and The Aldrich Contemporary Art Center. Honors include the C.I.C.A.E. Prize at the Berlin Film Festival, Cinereach at Sundance Institute Fellowship, Cannes Film Festival Atelier, Sundance/NHK International Filmmakers Award, Sundance Writers and Directors Lab Fellowships and grants from the Creative Capital, Rockefeller, Annenberg, and Sloan Foundations.
