HARLEM, NY — The man who fatally stabbed another man in the neck on a Harlem street has been arrested months later, according to police — who also identified the victim for the first time. Malik Davenport, 27, stands accused of murdering Ramfis Aquino, 40, outside the Lenox Terrace apartment complex near West 132nd Street and Fifth Avenue on Jan. 13 about 9:30 p.m., police said. Medics rushed Aquino, of Mount Vernon, to Harlem Hospital, where he later died, said police. The night of the stabbing, a witness saw a man appear to hit Aquino in the throat, the Daily News reported at the time. "One of the guys came real stealth around, it looked like he punched him in the neck," the witness told the Daily News. "The next thing you know, the blood starts pouring out of his neck." Davenport, of The Bronx, has been charged with Aquino's murder more than four months after the stabbing, police said Tuesday. Related coverage: Man Fatally Stabbed On Harlem Street: Police
