The solution to violence and mass shootings in this country is multi faceted. There is no one solution. But here are a few obvious measures that could be implemented immediately. We need mental health services for Americans who are struggling emotionally. Mental health services for high school students. Better parenting. Parents need to be aware of their children's behavior and emotional well being. Less violence in movies and video games. Any person who wants to purchase any assault weapon (gun that is not designed for hunting) should be required to attend some level of training (a permit), and pass a more rigorous background check. Bullies are often the ones who push kids to the emotional brink of suicide or violence. We need more programs to thwart bullying. More education against bullies. It takes a village to raise a child. Members of the community need to work together to tech our young folks to respect others. I am sure there are more measures. But here are a few to start.
