About Amber Lanier: "Creating beautiful settings has been a passion of mine since childhood. I will always remember moving the furniture around in our living room to create just the right nook for Mom to read her books or the best spot for the “Cat” to sprawl out on the sofa to catch the right amount of sunshine each day. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, I migrated to Wilmington in the late nineties to work in the film industry. As a set dresser for many productions filmed in the Wilmington and Charleston, South Carolina areas I learned the elements of design from some of the best production designers and set decorators in the business. My floral journey began to evolve later when I started incorporating flowers into my design spaces utilizing locally grown blooms and eco-friendly mechanics whenever possible. This did not come as a shock as I was raised by a Mother who is, to this day, an avid gardener and nature lover, whose idea of a good time was hiking in the woods to find Cypripediums aka “Lady Slippers” on Saturday afternoons when I was a child. I was surely destined for the same love of all things green and flowery. It is with this passion and experience I tailor each event to reflect the tastes and style of each client. I'll work with your unique vision to provide a wonderfully creative and encouraging experience. From beginning consult to day-of installs, I'm with you every step."
