PORTLAND, OR — Nearly 1,400 households in Southwest Portland woke up in the dark because of a power outage, according to Portland General Electric.
The outage, first reported around 2 a.m., was caused by an equipment issue, PGE said, without elaborating on what the equipment issue was.
The company originally said that it hoped to have power restored around 8 a.m. but at that point, around 1,394 customers were still without electricity, PGE said.
By 9:30 a.m, service was restored, PGE said.
