NEWARK, CA — Newark Unified School District has appointed two principals and a new director of special education for the 2022-23 school year. Elba Herrera has been chosen as principal of Schilling Elementary School.Kristi Palomino will be principal of Coyote Hills Elementary.Olivia Rangel will be the new Director of Special Education. School is almost out for students — the last day of school before summer vacation is next Wednesday, June 1. Vaccine Clinics will continue from 10 a.m. yo 2 p.m. on Saturdays at Coyote Hills Elementary School, through August. The first day of school for next school year is Wednesday, August 10.
