Mover/Driver/Inventory Care Specialist Job Description /Duties for Joy Home Design-staging & interiors This position supports our team by providing moving, inventory care and general staging services as needed. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must have own transportation, smartphone and be able to use text. Must be able to rent and drive a 17' moving truck although mostly will be driving our own vehicles which are Dodge Ram Promasters 2500 and 3500 and a Ford E350 17’ truck. Clean appearance and dress code to be followed. No baggy pants, cut off shorts, ripped or offensive designs. Hours 8am-4pm with occasional longer hours /weekends as needed. This is an hourly position. Specific duties will include but are not limited to: -Drive our work vehicle/s to pick ups and stages and keep vehicles(3) clean and washed on a regular basis. -Follow daily Job Sheet directions for pulling inventory and loading on our company vehicles or rental vehicles as necessary. Requires becoming familiar with our inventory including learning correct inventory terminology and correct warehouse storage location. - Responsible for loading items and all associated parts on vehicles. -Load and unload our vans/rental truck carefully and safely and work with other mover/s to pack up furniture, art & accessories from houses to storage or other houses to stage. -Wrap all furniture with shrink wrap to protect it and using blankets or boxes to ensure the least amount of damage possible while moving, loading and unloading. -Assist and as needed run the set up of furniture in houses doing whatever task is needed including but not limited to repairing scratches on furniture, dusting, markering of furniture, putting furniture together, hanging art, ensuring all screws and bolts are tightened etc.. Must be careful to avoid damage to properties being staged or picked up. Must ensure properties are left in clean condition especially on days with inclement weather. - Keep warehouse clean and organized. -Receive new shipments of furniture, help build and dispose of packaging as needed. -Do previews of houses by taking photos and making recommendations for what to use in each space. This position reports directly to the Home Staging Manager.
