Members of the Society are requested to attend this year’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00 pm. Members of the Society are requested to attend this year’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00 pm to learn about the Society’s recent accomplishments and plans for the next year and to elect board directors. Light refreshments will be provided. RSVP before 4:00 pm, Monday, June 13 by using the green button to the right. Your presence is crucial for us to reach a quorum. Celebrate our 50th anniversary with treats, games, and prizes (such as two free ELMHS History Cruise tickets)! Board of Director Nominees:The Society’s Nominating Committee will present the following slate of nominees for the FY2023 Board of Directors. These nominees have been approved by a majority vote of the ELMHS Board of Directors for three-year terms. Cheryl Ahlcrona has previously served on the ELMHS Board, including a number of years as Treasurer for our organization. Cheryl’s work experience includes being a Client Manager for very large accounts for the SAP corporation. Beyond her work with ELMHS, she also has a great deal of experience volunteering with non-profit organizations, including Lakewinds Co-Op and Ready for Success. Cheryl is also currently a member of the ELMHS 50th Anniversary Planning Committee. Scott Zerby has been a leader in the Lake Minnetonka area for many years. He served as the mayor for Shorewood for eight years, as a Shorewood council member for 10 years and with the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce. Scott is currently a member of the boards of the Excelsior Rotary Club, Elder Voice Advocates and Senior Community Services. Scott is extremely interested in preserving and sharing the history of the Lake Minnetonka area, both in Excelsior and surrounding areas. To this end, he has presented a history of Shorewood at an ELMHS Tapping History event. Directors who will continue their terms on the board are: Deanna Bunkelman (term ends 2023), Bill Heyman (term ends 2024), Tom Kolar (term ends 2024), Kirsten Pardoe (term ends 2024), Mark Read (term ends 2023), Lisa Stevens (term ends 2023).
