We are excited to announce Summer Art Camps at ARS Arts and Culture Center! Join us in June (YOUTH) and July (TEEN) as we explore the creative & cultural history of France.ARS SUMMER CAMP, now in its 12th year, is not about learning a technique or being shown how to assemble parts from a pre-packaged kit. Through the guidance of our talented teaching artists, students will be using a wide variety of resources and real art supplies to develop critical thinking and visual problem-solving skills.That's because ARS camp starts with raw materials, gets messy, and offers kids the unlimited freedom to create art that is uniquely individual and personal - all while having fun!Youth Camp I: France In this camp, students will focus on France and its cultural arts while exploring traditional, modern, and contemporary arts.Students will learn about various art forms including textiles, sculpture, folklore, masks, symbolism, mixed-media, and more! $165 per Student Ages 7-12June 20-24 Youth Sign-Up Teen Camp II: Open Studio This camp is geared towards teens developing their own personal style as they create art in an open studio environment.Students will create and develop original works of art as they are exposed to various art techniques, processes, and concepts. $185 per Student Ages 13-18July 11-15 Teen Sign-Up Camp takes place at ARS Gallery located in the heart of the Benton Harbor Arts District at 147th Fifth Street, Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
