ST. MICHAEL, MN — Two St. Michael-Albertville High School wrestling coaches finished out the 2021-22 school year by scooping awards from a group of their colleagues throughout the states.
STMA wrestling head coach Josh Joriman was honored by the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association as its Class AAA Coach of the Year for 2022. Joriman led the Knights to the Class AAA title in March, capping an undefeated 2021-22 season.
STMA Wrestling Team Wins Class AAA State Championship
Joriman has finished in the top five in each of his five seasons leading STMA's wrestling team since taking over for former head coach Dan Lefebvre in 2018, North Wright County Today reported.
Lefebvre, who retired in 2018 after 12 seasons as head coach, was inducted into the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association's Dave Bartelma Hall of Fame as a member of its Class of 2022.
