MAPLE GROVE, MN — The Osseo/Maple Grove American Legion Post 172 is set to host an event Sunday evening to create a tribute to fallen veterans ahead of Memorial Day. The American Legion post and its auxiliary unit are planning to place American flags along County Road 81 for each of the 99 Minnesotans who died while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The American Legion is seeking volunteers to create its "99 Flag Ceremony," starting at 5 p.m. Sunday.
