The Soul Purpose Band is putting a group together doing a mixture of classic rock, some funk, perhaps some blues, country rock, all kinds of music that people like to hear and dance to. We're doing material for both male and female singers that can sing separate or together, musicians like Hall and Oates, The Beatles, Wild Cherry, Amy Winehouse, Shocking Blue, Steppenwolf, Billy Joel, Linda Ronstadt, Katrina and the Waves, Joe Cocker, Santana, The Eagles, Badfinger, Carolina and the Swing Fellows, Dave Mason, Grand Funk Railroad, The Doobie Brothers and more to add. We're seeking a female singer who can not only sing lead but also sing harmonies as well. We would like to do a variety of material to entertain all kinds of people and there is sure a lot of great music out there for both male and female singers out there! The best news of all, we have a great place for rehearsal with a full PA already set up with microphones and monitors all ready to go. If you play an instrument, amplifiers are supplied too. We practice in Waterloo not far from Route 14. If you have ideas, share them with us, we'd like to hear them. We have guitars, drums, bass and keyboards along with backup vocals.
