SK WATERCRAFT RENTALS HIRING (PORTLAND) Compensation: Based Upon Experience $Hrly base + Loyalty Bonus Work on the water enjoy being outside all summer! Attention College Students! Attention Boat Lovers! SK Watercraft Rentals is seeking staff to help operate our rental operation. We rent Sea-doo pwc, Scarab Boats, Pontoon Boats, Fishing Boats, Snowmobiles, Motorcycle, Paddle Boards, Kayaks, and do Segway Rentals along the Portland Waterfront. We are the largest rental operation of watercraft in the State of Oregon. Business is open 7days a week 9:30am-7pm. Staff works 4 days on / 3days off. 250 SE Division Place Portland OR 97202 $hourly based upon experience + $1/hr loyalty bonus paid in October Positions - Office / Runner / Dock Great Summer Schedule working 4days on and 3days off. Part or Full time available. We are located on the water at 250 SE Division Place in Portland, between the Ross Island and Tillicum Crossing, on the East Bank of the Willamette River 3 Blocks south of OMSI. Position requires well rounded individual with good communication skills, customer service, and some basic level of mechanical inclination. Bonus if able to dock our pontoon & jet boats, drive truck and trailer, have valid drivers license. Will be required to have a boaters education card by time start employment, must be physically fit, type proficiently for data entry on the computer, have attention to detail, and must be reliable. Our business has been in operation since 1994 so serving the area for 28yrs. Our fleet is made up of 2019-2022 model year units. Rental business is greatly about preparation, following processes & procedures, then making sure customers have a good experience. Certainly a fun place to work but We Do Work Here. This is a great opportunity to learn life long skills and work around the water. If you have background operating boats or watercraft on the water will be very helpful. Two staff we retain year round - majority of staff hired will be full time seasonal employees June thru Sept. We prefer to hire employees that have the ability to come back multiple seasons when possible. Pay is based upon experience with loyalty bonuses. Not able to accommodate long vacation times in July & August. We are seeking: * Friendly, outgoing employees * Strong communication skills * Proficient on a computer (Office Position) * Experience operating boats and/or personal watercraft * Experience driving trucks, towing and launching boats * Will need to obtain a boaters education card (online test) * Handy and able to make small repairs whether with wood (docks) and/or light mechanically * Physically able to move 50+ lbs. * Valid Drivers License with a clean record When not actively Renting we do Prep work. So preparation to rent includes cleaning, photographing, maintenance, organization, and taking care of equipment. Good common sense and attention to the details is what we are seeking. This job is very diverse. One moment you are on the phone with customers, next driving boat around to the boat launch, then launching customers in a kayak, and repairing a dock all before lunch time.
