Description
These cute lovebirds were hatched in 2019. They are passed temperamental puberty, and have many years of smooth sailing ahead of them. They are incredibly friendly. As I type this, one is supervising from the back of my laptop and the other from my arm. One is calm enough that I can flip him over and give him scritches in my hand. The other is a little more anxious and doesn't like to get scritches. I am rehoming them because I am moving to a country that doesn't allow them. :-( They come with a large cage, oodles of toys, and several months of food pellets and millet treats. I'm asking a $500 rehoming fee, to make sure they go to a good home. Lovebirds are an exotic pet, and taking care of them well can be really expensive. Their vet is Avian and Exotic Veterinary Care. Feel free to reach out and make your case for a lower rehoming fee, if you can demonstrate that you are a good home for my lil buddies. They have been around small pets and been very comfortable and curious. They have spent a little time around kids and also been fine, but those were kids that were acting fairly calmly. They haven't been around cats or dogs, so I don't know how they would react. They have been around other birds, and didn't seem interested. Tame lovebirds can make a great first bird, for someone who knows what they are getting in to. Lovebirds are nippy. They are loud. They are also very social. They want to be your best friend! These two are often "velco birds" meaning they just want to hang out on my shoulders or hands. They are fully flighted, which means they can fly around the house and get plenty of exercise. They do fly around, especially if a loud noise startles them, but they come back to hang out with their human flock. If you think you're a good match for them, send me an email and let's set up a time for you to meet them.
