They can shoot you before you can react. Semi automatic weapon works much faster than you can react. There have been 212 mass shootings in 2022 alone. No matter how you compare; number is much higher compare to any other country. There are 120+ guns per every 100 people in US. Still, it's almost impossible to stop mass shooting. Still some people believe carrying a concealed weapon can protect him and his family including his child at school. Person must be insane. You can still protect amendment rights and not allowing person to own a gun. You just have to think outside of box. Politicians getting $$$$$ from gun manufacturers and lobbyist. And instead of protecting US citizen, they are protecting gun manufacturers on the name of amendment. Ted Cruz received $300,000 in 2018.
