Start a new trade in the drilling industry. No experience necessary. The drilling industry is in high demand for drillers, driller assistants, drillers in training, laborers, welders, mechanics and more. Compensation for Drilling rig assistants and laborers make: 50k-70k+ a year employment type: full-time, 40+ hours per week. Benefits include employer paid health insurance, 401k, profit sharing Some projects are prevailing wage Start immediately. Several positions open. This job requires employees that have a very flexible schedule as the projects we work on can be anywhere, starting at anytime and ending when the job is finished. It is always different. This job is not ideal for those that are directly responsible for drop off and pick up of their children's child care schedules or those in school or other scheduled activities. Description: Working on a Geotechical and Environmental drilling rig crew. The Driller and Driller's assistant are responsible for assisting in the recovery and presentation of soil samples through safe and professional practices in order that client expectations are met or exceeded. The Driller and drillers assistant are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the duties and tasks needed for each project are undertaken in accordance with 2R Drilling policies, procedures, and practices. Position Requirements: Must have a valid drivers license to drive company owned vehicles to job sites. Must commit to working safely and ensuring the safety of co-workers. Safety toe boots with defined heel required and not supplied by employer. OSHA approved hard hat, eye protection, hearing protect - are supplied by employer Must be at least 19 years old. Be reliable, dependable, arrive on time and have a good attitude. Have a current, valid driver’s license without major infractions in the last three years. Be physically fit and able to pass a fit for duty test. Be able to pass a pre-hire drug test. Have a preference for working outdoors. Most projects are local but some require employees to work on projects out of the area and stay out of town in motels. Be punctual, compatible and able to communicate with other people in a small team environment. Be able to work long hard hours with lots of overtime Have a mechanical background and/or aptitude, with skills in operating and maintaining machinery.
