Our services allow us to provide our clients the ability to make the most informed decisions regarding their utility infrastructure. What is a Crossbore and what does a Utility Crossbore Technician do?  When utilities are installed using directional drilling techniques, occasionally the drilling process will damage other underground utilities.  This damage is called a Crossbore.  Finding the sites of this damage is of upmost importance to maintaining the integrity of our critical infrastructure and the safety of our community.  Your role as a Utility Crossbore Technician is to work in a hands-on environment, assisting with the operation of our CCTV Camera and equipment, and helping us make our community a safer place. This position is perfect for individuals who have knowledge, experience, or interest in learning about electronics, robotics and positions related to plumbing and mechanical technicians.   Schedule:Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pmWe Are Giving YOU:Weekly pay$500 monthly bonus based on productivity goalsCompany paid items such as a Red Wing safety boot voucher and PPEOpportunities for paid overtimePaid training with no experience requiredMedical, dental, vision insurance and moreCompany paid life insurance policyPaid holidays and personal paid time off (PTO)401K with company match after 6 monthsCareer advancement opportunitiesWhat YOU Will Do:Detect crossbored wastewater lines and collect field data through utilizing ESRI GPS software during inspectionsEstablish a safe work zone including positioning safety items such as traffic cones and signs, helping maintain a safe work environment while under the direction of the OperatorPrepare the CCTV Robot and equipment for the scheduled job under the direction of the Operator while cleaning and maintaining equipmentDispatch the tractor unit securely into the pipe utilizing crane or hook; safely retrieve the tractorMark locations on the job site with utility marking paint as requiredEnter into a manhole to troubleshoot CCTV tractor equipment as neededAssist the Operator with job documentation Who YOU Are and What YOU Need:Valid Driver's License with a good driving record Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employmentMust be able and willing to walk 2 to 5 miles or more per day on various terrain and various weather conditionsMust be willing to work with sewer and wastewater utility lines Our camera equipment is HEAVY, we don’t want it to float away.
