Job description We are looking for help during our busiest seasons. Essential Job Duties: Understands each and every pet’s specific personality, needs, and preferences Facilitates structured activities designed to address pets’ specific needs: physical engagement and mental stimulation, fitness, etc. Actively oversees and understands pack dynamics, and works to create a positive and safe play environment Observes pet behavior, and intervenes as necessary to prevent fights and injury to pets Actively encourages play/interaction between pets and pet activity Cleans and sanitizes all items during day as necessary Promptly cleans/mops up after pets when they eliminate Completes Day Camp Reports each day and provides individual pet feedback Performs other duties as assigned Qualificiations: Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of your family! Must be high school graduate or equivalent Preferred 1 year dog handling experience, we are willing to train the right person Must be able to lift 40 pounds Must be able to be on feet & walk frequently for full shift Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat Must be able to handle large dogs on leashes Must be able to work in a noisy/loud environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander,and eliminations.
