Custodial-Maintenance Full Time Position-Elementary Custodial Job Outline Subject to change Daily: All bathrooms cleaned and stocked Toilets & urinals cleaned inside & out Stall walls cleaned as needed Garbage emptied Sinks and counters cleaned Mirrors cleaned Floors swept & mopped All garbage cans on campus emptied large cans outside of classrooms cans in classrooms that are scheduled to be cleaned office garbage all bathroom garbages All recycling bins on campus emptied check levels of bins in scheduled classrooms; office, workroom etc.weekly and empty in blue bins for scheduled day of pick up; prior Walls around garbage cans in scheduled classrooms wiped down Wipe down classroom doors as needed Dusting of surfaces (tables, counters etc. that are cleared off and accessible) in scheduled classrooms, lobbies Office lobby surfaces done once per week Heavy traffic windows, knobs and doors done weekly or more if needed Vacuum classroom rugs that are scheduled for that day and floor mats in lobbies and office as needed; at least once per week. Sweep and mop floors in the buildings that are scheduled for the day Office sometimes more often depending on conditions All lobbies every day All bathrooms every day Wipe down the desks that are in the buildings scheduled for floor cleaning Any cleaning of messes that occur during the day; bathroom messes and clogs, water spills, garbage messes, vomit and or blood etc. Sweeping/blowing of sidewalks as needed End of Year: Clean all windows inside and out and sills Clean all chalkboards and white boards Clean all desks inside and out Clean interior air intake vents Wipe down inside and outside building doors Floor tile repair if needed Fence clean up Dumpster Bunker swept and bleach cleaned Help moving of furniture in all classrooms in prep for summer cleaning jobs Summer List: This list can vary in regards to the needs that arise. What is always consistent: The alternating cleaning, waxing and buffing of the building floors. Detail cleaning of all corners of all floors in bathrooms and classrooms that are accessible. Roof inspection and gutter cleaning Dust cob all ceilings Carpet cleaning of the office Any maintenance needed Maintenance Job Outline Daily: Litter clean up on campus Classroom needs as they may occur during the day; coat rack fallen, table, desk or chairs need repair etc. Monthly: Monthly- Fire Extinguisher Inspection Monthly - playground Inspection Twice Per Year: Filter change on every HEPA unit (per protocol steps) June & December Quarterly: HVAC filter replacement Yearly: IPM Certificate Holder: annual training required As the need arises: Property maintenance; fence repair, gutters, touch up painting and any other misc. minor needs that may occur. Schedule Outlook Monday through Thursday 9:00AM-6:30PM (30 minute lunch & 2x 15 minute breaks) Friday four hours (flexible) Monday through Thursday: 9:00 – 3:30 Sweeping the sidewalks Garbage Stocking & cleaning bathrooms Cleaning lobby sinks Outdoor litter pickup Any other misc. outside/campus work Maintaining clean campus as incidents happen Lunch Clean Up Campus wipe downs Property Maintenance Maintaining storage containers On call for facility needs 3:30-6:30 All in class duties Scheduled building floors and all surfaces Mop and detail clean all bathrooms (once kids have left) Office Mop lobbies Refer to above duty description for full list of duties Friday: Flexible Four Hours Maintenance in the classrooms while there are no students Office needs and more detail cleaning tend to happen on this day Detailed cleaning, maintenance and misc. items to get caught up on Also: All job duties and responsibilities are incorporated with daily check-ins with the Head of Operations. All maintenance and facilities work will be cleared and in constant supervision of the Head of Operations. Daily check-ins may include items needing attention for that day and is a time for touching base with needed information pertaining to custodial and maintenance needs/duties. Work together with the Head of Operations to facilitate access on campus and prep if needed for when contractors and or events are being on campus. This is a joint shared responsibility with the Head of Operations and arrangements and communication will be made prior to ensure all is covered. Alarm Duties: On Call for any after hours emergencies (2nd in line; Head of Operations is the first to be called and handles these events). 2nd in line is to be available when the Head of Operations is unable to be reached. Communication will be made and arrangements will be made. Vacation Times: This position comes with four weeks paid vacation. Winter break (2 weeks per annually approved school calendar) Spring break (1 week per annually approved school calendar) One week (5 working days to use as per job holders discretion and per approval by Head of Operations). And more flexible time would be in the months of June, July & August. Time Off: per sick days and any other days off can be flexible per instance with the Head of Operations. If sick days become excessive throughout the school year (Sept. through June) then stated above vacation days will be used. This will be communicated and resolved with the Head of Operations. Consistent and daily attendance is expected. Salary: Option 1 - monthly subcontractor rate with 3% annual increase. Job Holder responsible for all taxes and fees. Annual contract. Monthly Salary ~ $3,200-4,000 depending on job related experience Option 2 - employee status monthly rate with 3% annual increase. Annual contract. Includes health and retirement benefits.
