Wonderful opportunity to learn with a visiting instructor who has worked with Disney, Sony, Dreamworks and more! Only a few spots left in this one!
To be able to capture the likeness and mood of a model is one of the most difficult skills in portrait painting. In this one day workshop, we’ll cover the basics of the drawing skills, color harmony and forms needed to be able to capture the attitude of the model. Students will learn the dynamics of color relationships and how to capture the light sources that influence the subjects. The instructor will offer demonstrations from examples and from life and provide individual feedback to help students expressively depict the essence of their model. Instructor will demonstrate in oils, but the workshop is open to painters working in acrylic, watercolor, or oil.
