WE NEED A DETAILER AND A SHOP HELPER TO ASSIST AT OUR AUTO SHOP/CAR LOT/REPAIR SHOP ***Need somebody to work in the DETAIL SHOP in getting cars ready to sell - Vacuum, wet sand, high speed compound, buff, wax, pressure wash, tire shine, remove seats and interior parts to clean, etc... ***Need somebody to assist 2 mechanics - Lifting cars, doing oil changes and tire replacements, parking cars, pick up parts and/or customers, washing engines and underneath with pressure washer, etc... ***Need somebody to assist sales - Help deliver and p/up cars from auction and other vendors. Typical SHOP HELPER day may be: Come in at 8am, help service manager by pulling in a few cars and lifting them, removing wheels for inspection and diagnosis. Assist with a couple oil changes. Go to lunch. After lunch, maybe prep and paint some rims. Go to auction and drop off 2 cars for sale. Stop by parts store and pick up parts for service manager. YOU WILL LEARN TO BE A MECHANIC AND USE SHOP EQUIPMENT LIKE: TIRE MACHINES, BRAKE LATHE, SCANNER, AC RECOVERY MACHINE, EXHAUST PIPE BENDER, WELDERS, TORCHES, HYDRAULIC PRESS, TPMS MACINES, ETC..Leave at 4-6pm. Typical DETAILER day may be: Come in at 8am, clean exterior and interior of cars for sale. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW ALL THESE SKILLS, BUT MUST BE ABLE TO LEARN AND DO IT 'OUR' WAY. Wetsand scratches and use high speed buffer to repair paint. clean tires and rims. Pressure wash engines, and underneath cars. Remove seats and pressure wash. Drop off and pick up cars from auction. We buy dirty cars and make them nice and it is a lot of work, and we have hours available! TYPICAL WORK WEEK IS 45-50 HOURS, WE PAY OVERTIME FOR OVER 40HRS, PAY STARTS AT $14.00 to $17.00 PER HOUR FOR 90 DAYS OF TRAINING/LEARNING/PROBATION. $1 HOUR RAISE AFTER 30-90 DAYS IF ADVANCING. PAID HOLIDAYS AFTER 90 DAYS. 1 WEEK PAID VACATION AFTER 1 YEAR. THIS POSITION PAYS $16-20.00 PER HOUR AFTER 1 YEAR. WE ARE A 15 YEAR COMPANY IN THE SAME LOCATION. THIS POSITION PAYS $40K - $60K PER YEAR. This position requires a person who hustles, and can change gears quickly. This is a fast paced, busy operation and we need someone who wants to stay busy, learn many areas of automobile reconditioning and be in the car business. Must be able to learn quickly and be able to move from task to task quickly. Ideal candidate should be clean and organized. Must have valid driver license.
