Hello, I have a alligator gar that I am looking to give away for a rehoming fee to ensure a good home. He’s about 1 ft long but make sure you do your research if you want this fish. Water quality you don’t have to worry about too much as they have special lungs and can breathe our oxygen, but they require a LOT of room to move in the tank due to their long snout. He will get about 4 ft long fully grown and can live decades. I made the mistake in impulse buying him when I saw him, do not make the same mistake I did without doing your research and making sure you have a big enough tank. **** 200-500 gallon would be ideal but he’s small right now so should be okay in something less for now until you upgrade. **** I just want this poor baby in a better place.
