KECH Development is looking for an experienced Solar Panel Field Technician. The right candidate will have both the expertise and people-skills to answer homeowner questions, diagnose technical problems, and oversee the installation process from A-Z. This is a full-time role with base pay (commensurate with experience) + commission and will be based in NYC metro area. Responsibilities: Work with team members to install solar panels, bracketing racks, and electrical wiring for the systems. Perform necessary construction tasks as per the panel manufacturer's guidelines. Ensuring all work is done in accordance with all local and state legal guidelines. Review and survey all job sites prior to beginning work to account for any unforeseen variables. Determining and recommending the most effective installation procedures to maximize field team's efficiency. Keeping a tab on inventory and equipment used between all the different jobs. Troubleshoot and service all relevant hardware and equipment. Tidy and cleaning up job sites post-installation. Requirements In good physical shape; able to carry heavy loads while still being agile and mobile. 2-7 years of relevant experience installing and working with solar panels. Possessing a solid foundation in electrical systems and construction knowledge. Must have a valid driver's license, clean record, and ability to pass a background check.
