Just want to warn people about The Bone and Joint Surgery Center on Wake Forest Rd I have had very good experiences in the past. But this time I was misled by them. Last fall I was told that I needed a hip replacement but had to wait until after the end of May this year. Dr Buroughs had even told me that he was going to get my insurance lined up. He knew of my physical condition and after his medical assistant lied to him he informed me that I would need to find another surgeon. He said that I needed to have it done at a hospital. The release form listed Duke Raliegh Hospital as to where it was to be done. I was even supposed to stay overnight because of my health issues. His assistant has lied to me and him but he chooses to side with her even though what she has done is actually tampering with medical records. He even refused to talk to my primary doctor when he was asked to.
