Want to join a fast-paced team supporting the UNH off campus housing community? The Maintenance Tech I position will be responsible, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, for the overall maintenance of the apartment units, the buildings, and the grounds of all properties owned by Torrington Properties. It is the Maintenance Technician I’s responsibility to perform any assigned duties in all areas related to the day‐to‐day maintenance operations of the communities owned and operated by Torrington Properties. The Maintenance Tech I position will share After Hours Call responsibilities and may be called on to supervise other employees under the Maintenance Supervisor in his absence, or during times of heavy work-load. The Maintenance Tech I position has the following duties that must be a part of their experience and be well-versed in the completion of: 1. Having basic knowledge of HVAC. 2. Having basic knowledge of electrical systems, with the ability to work safely 3 Strong communication skills and attention to detail 4. Ability to work well as a team, suggest process improvements, and see ideas through implementation 5. Having basic knowledge of plumbing. 6. Having basic knowledge of carpentry and sheetrock repair 6. Ability to repair and install structures and components such as showers, sinks, appliances, cabinets, walls and building exteriors. 7. Makeready units for new move‐ins. Must fully understand the Turn process under the direction of the Facility Manager and the Property Manager and implement it through example to others. 8. The performance of preventative maintenance programs to maintain the efficiency and longevity of building systems. 9. Ensuring the cleanliness of all buildings. 10.General groundskeeping and landscaping duties as they may be assigned 11. Snow removal duties as they may be assigned.
