Join us for an afternoon with eminent farmers rights activist and AID Jeevansaathi Kiran Vissa, a key figure in the farmers' movement in India to understanding the farmers' unrest and the positive way forward. Kiran leads a farmers' organization called Rythu Swarajya Vedika in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and has been implementing a number of AID initiatives in these states to prevent farmer suicides and address issues of rural distress. Kiran will discuss his critical work with farmers and farmers movements in India against the backdrop and context of the recent farmers' protests that shook the nation.
