HUNTINGTON, NY — A woman was arrested on Friday after she was accused of prostitution and giving unlicensed massages when Suffolk police raided a Huntington massage parlor, police said.
Police investigated Golden Finger Spa, at 183 New York Ave., near Heckscher Park, after community members made numerous complaints regarding illegal activities at the spa, police said.
Yuan Ying Li, 48, of Flushing, Queens, was arrested and charged with two counts of unauthorized practice of a profession and one count of prostitution.
The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal issued the building several summonses and the spa was closed as a result of the violations, police said.
Li will be released on a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
